Last weekend you turned 20 months. This is a big step for me - going out of the teens definitely needs to me that my baby girl is growing up. I know I haven''t ''really'' been able to call you my baby for awhile now - but in reality you will always be my baby :)
I think that in the past 2 months you have grown up more than all the months combined. You are a little person now. With your own thoughts, feelings, emotions and attitude! We moved in a new place 2 weeks ago - and you did fantastic during the entire process. Settling into the new place didn''t take you anytime at all.
You love helping us in the kitchen now and will carry your little stool everywhere to get up higher to see everything and ''help''.
Your vocabulary has exploded. When we say something and you want to learn the new word you will just stare at our mouths until we say it 3,4 or 5 times and you try to say it to. It''s amazing the words you understand and express. There are times that can be frustrating when you don''t want to use your words and just whine or cry - that''s mostly when your tired.
You love animals sounds. Roaring like a dinosaur or a lion is fun for you. And you love pointing to mouses on your book pages right now. Nothing beats Dora or Elmo though! Elmo Elmo Elmo... Somedays it feels that it all we hear! You will bring your Elmo doll everywhere - sometimes at night if you drop him my mistake in your sleep you will cry for him. Your mum and I have also had our share of Elmo - from waking up at 3 in the morning to Elmo in our face for us to give him kisses, to me breastfeeding him.
You have started play acting with your stuff toys more. You will bring a bear to supper and pretend to feed it, or put it on your potty to pretend it''s peeing. It''s cute to see how you are growing and learning from everything we do.
We are starting to get ready for the holidays - and we can not wait to see how much fun it will be with you exploring everything.
Keep growing up - my little girl!
